Tesla Motors CFO Retires This Year

Tesla Motors Incorporated has announced at their recent shareholders meeting that their current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Deepak Ahuja will be retiring this year. The 52-year-old is one of the company’s longest-serving executives, having joined in 2008.

“It is like letting go of a child,” Mr Ahuja said, regarding his decision to retire.

Mr Ahuja has played an important role in helping the company grow from a startup to the successful electric car maker it is today. In his position as finance chief right from its beginnings, he has guided the company from initial public offering through to its post-IPO financing.

“He has done an amazing job,” commented Elon Musk, chief executive and co-founder of Palo Alto, during the shareholders meeting.
