The Award recognises the company for its innovation in custom Application-Specific Integrated Circuit, hardware systems, network software, management capabilities, and security research.
The company’s FortiGate-3810D is the world’s first Datacenter Firewall security appliance with 100GbE interface ports and 300+Gbps throughput, which meets the stringent performance and connectivity demands of next-generation, high-speed datacentres.
Yann Pradelle, Fortinet's vice president for South Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "We are proud that our performance and innovation are recognised by Frost & Sullivan. We will continue to invest in talent and technology as we strive to become the network security vendor of choice for even more enterprises across the region."
The FortiGate-3810D's 3U appliance form factor saves space and power, and includes unique features such as Virtual Domain and transparent mode, allowing networks to be segmented without having to make major modifications to the network.
Congratulating Fortinet on the award, Satyajit Lele, research analyst, Best Practices, Frost & Sullivan, said, “Compared with competing compact, low-power appliances that typically achieve a maximum of only 40 to 60 Gbps firewall throughput yet are more expensive, the FortiGate-3810D redefines the limit of data center-class performance by supporting core network speeds of over 300 Gbps.”
With the FortiGate-3810D, customers are able to keep up with the rapidly changing, complex and competitive business needs to support higher speed and data volumes without having to step up to the cost and complexity of a carrier-grade chassis solution, he added.
