TaeguTec has introduced a new grade, the TT7515 coating helps offer more stability with a uniform and rigid reinforcement, the new coating adhesion, due to their CVD coating technology, helps to increase wear resistance.
The new grade aids performance in high-speed machining of grey cast iron and suppresses the abrupt failure under unstable machining conditions. It also increases tool life, with the new grade complementing previous iterations such as the TT6800 by covering the same application range.
A test found that the new grade increased tool life by around 40 percent when machining a grey cast iron workplace material.
