Sandvik Coromant: CoroTap 100-KM Featured

Sandvik released the CoroTap 100-KM, a tapping tool aimed at making a difference for a wider variety of cast iron machining.

The new tapping tool features an increased number of flutes on each cutting edge. A black Chamfer has also been added to the let the tap thread deeper, with thread and chamfer relied being provided.

The new tapping tool also uses a new grade, the D210, to offer more wear resistance. The grade is a combination of powder steel substrate with high hardness and titanium aluminium nitride with multi-layer clothing.
