Winners Of “The New Generation of Sheet Metal Working” Awards

The EuroBLECH 2016 “The New Generation of Sheet Metal Working” award winners were announced in Hannover, Germany on Oct 27. They included: Trumpf Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH + Co KG, Schuler AG, WSoptics GmbH, Kemper GmbH and Fraunhofer IPA.

The EuroBLECH 2016 “The New Generation of Sheet Metal Working” online competition serves to reward organisations or individuals in the sheet metal working industry for best practice, innovation, excellence and outstanding performance in different categories.

Following this year’s main theme at EuroBLECH, “The New Generation of Sheet Metal Working”, the competition categories focused on recent developments and trends in the sheet metal working industry.

Trumpf Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH + Co KG won the “Factory of the Future” award for its clever implementation of smart manufacturing methods.

Schuler AG won in the “Original Design” category for companies producing unusual products made from sheet metal.

Fraunhofer IPA won the “Academic Excellence” award for the best university projects in science and engineering involving sheet metal technology.

In the “The Young Generation” category, WSoptics GmbH clinched the prize for its outstanding performance by junior employees and young inventors.

Kemper GmbH secured it’s win the “Clean Technology” award for its eco-friendly solutions and sustainable manufacturing methods.
