The model was the result of a year-long joint effort of the company’s international engineering team from the US, UK and India.
The desktop 3D printer is compact, weighs approximately 11.8 kg, and is equipped with a colour LCD touch screen for interactive operation. It can print sizes up to 225 mm x 145 mm x 150 mm and of two different materials (polyactic acid, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, nylon, high strength polystyrene or carbon fibre wood) simultaneously.
With these abilities, the printer makes for a compelling multi-functional desktop device, and the company’s PR manager Yoyo Hee added that they aim to make it affordable as well. The device, valued at several thousand dollars, will be available at just US$999 during the crowdfunding period.
