Pilz has opened its regional headquarters for Southeast Asia in Singapore. Located at the German Centre Singapore, Pilz South East Asia will offer a range of products and services around industrial automation and safety including sensor technology, sensor devices, relays and control systems to the industry in the region.

Manufacturing in major Southeast Asian economies took a turn for the worse in July as activity at Indonesian factories contracted and growth in Vietnamese factories slowed, reported The Financial Times.

AirAsia, one of the biggest budget carriers in Southeast Asia, is looking to add five aircrafts this year and as many as 10 more in 2017. The airline plans to tap demand in a region that is projected to surpass the US as the world’s biggest air-travel market in two decades, a demand that is led by China.

The Bangkok office of Schaeffler Asia Pacific has just attained the Schaeffler Technology Centre (STC) certification, joining 26 other company offices around the world.
