China’s Economy Sets 6.7% Growth Pace In Q3

China's economy powered ahead in the third quarter, according to official data released on Wednesday, matching expectations along with solid figures for retail sales, industrial output and fixed asset investment.

China reported third quarter GDP with a quarter-on-quarter gain of 1.8%, meeting expectations along with a year-on-year pace of 6.7%.

 

As well in the Middle Kingdom, fixed asset investment hit the mark seen of a 8.2% year-on-year gain for September, while industrial production rose 6.1%, short of the 6.4% year-on-year pace seen. Retail sales for September rose 10.7%, a tad more than the 10.6% gain seen year-on-year.
