The plant is the fourth Kyocera manufacturing facility in China, in addition to the facilities in Dongguan, Zhuhai and Shanghai, which enables fully integrated production for industrial cutting tools in the region. The new plant will produce carbide inserts.
The joint venture between Kyocera and a tungsten refining company in China, Ganzhou Grand Sea W&Mo Group was established in January last year in order to meet the growing demand for industrial cutting tools in the automotive industry in China.
