The airplane manufacturing industry has been hit with the impending possibility of industry turmoil, as the impending recession scaring off airlines from continuing to expand their fleets. An unlikely saviour has emerged in the form of a stumbling goliath, China.
While China faces similar, perhaps even steeper, economic challenges then Southeast Asia, their airlines are expected to grow significantly in the coming years, ultimately accounting for over 17 percent of the global airplane purchases.
The resurgence of China comes down mainly to their current restructuring of the Chinese economy in a bid to focus on a more service oriented economy.
