MMI India Plant ISO-Certified

The Hosur factory is awarded ISO 9001:2008 in quality assurance.

Michigan Manufacturing International is pleased to announce that its manufacturing facility in Hosur, India, was recently awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification. This certification qualifies the manufacturing process at Maryland Mechanical India Private Limited as a globally accepted methodology.

The ISO certification by TÜV Nord means that the manufacturing process followed by the plant can be demonstrated through verifiable records. This level of quality assurance signifies that parts are made to the required specifications by adhering to the approved process, providing peace of mind to customers.

MMI chief executive officer Jacob Prak stated that ISO certification allows the company to be qualified to supply parts to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) where an ISO certification is a pre-requisite. “This certification for our Indian facility is a very important benefit for our customers. It shows we meet or exceed the expected quality standards.”

Jayesh Kavum Parmbath, the director at the India plant, commented on the ISO certification, saying, “We are very proud of receiving this certification. This assures our customers that they are getting high-quality manufactured products.”
