Hypertherm, announced late last month their new Centricut brand quick change torch for use with ESAB plasma cutting systems. The torch, which incorporates proprietary Hypertherm technology, is designed to replace ESAB PT-36, PT-600 and PT-19XLS torches.
With Singapore’s upcoming 50th celebration of independence in August this year, the annual Precision Engineering Centre Of Innovation (PE COI) conference had the theme “The Singapore Precision Engineering (PE) Industry: The Past 50 Years and Future”. The conference, which took place on day two of the MTA2015, covered a variety of topics largely in the perspective of Singapore in line with the theme, such as the future of manufacturing, the growth and future of the PE industry or opportunities and challenges of the local PE industry, to name a few.
The first day of this year’s MTA has concluded successfully and more is expected in the coming days. With MTA being the largest metalworking exhibition held in Singapore, this year’s event includes 350 companies from 27 countries and regions, showcasing their products in automation, robotics and 3D printing.
