The EuroBLECH 2016 “The New Generation of Sheet Metal Working” award winners were announced in Hannover, Germany on Oct 27. They included: Trumpf Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH + Co KG, Schuler AG, WSoptics GmbH, Kemper GmbH and Fraunhofer IPA.

Billed as a revolution in 2D laser cutting, the brand new, freshly developed, fully automated and compact TruLaser Center 7030 was unveiled by Trumpf to a press gathering at EuroBLECH, Hall 11 on October 26.

Ditzingen, Germany: The Trumpf Group registered a three percent increase in sales, with the figure amounting to €2.8 billion (US$3.12 billion), compared to previous year’s €2.7 billion.

This 14th edition of MTA Vietnam from July 5 - 8, 2016, played host to some 416 exhibitors from 24 countries. With a total of 13 international group pavilions of Germany, Japan, Korea (6), Singapore, Taiwan (3) and Thailand spread over some 11,000 sq m of exhibition space, this year’s event was the largest and most comprehensive to date.

Ditzingen, Germany: Trumpf is building a 5,000-sq m demonstration factory in Chicago, US, designed around Industry 4.0 solutions.

The concept of punching designates a slitting process in which a sheet is severed in one stroke while shapes such as round holes are created in the part, and external contours are cut with single strokes. Punching specialist Trumpf takes a swing at explaining the methodologies and innovations of punching.

Machine tool and laser manufacturer Trumpf is building a demonstration factory in Chicago that is designed as a flexible, digitally connected production plant. The entire sheet metal process chain will be on display, from the ordering of a sheet metal part to its design, production and delivery is intelligently interlinked.

The TruLaser 3030 fibre processes a wide range of material types and thicknesses including brass, copper, titanium, and even tube profiles with the RotoLas option.

Over the next two years, Trumpf will be investing €35 million (US$53.4 million) in a new logistics centre at its headquarters in Ditzingen, to continue to offer customers around the world fast availability of spare parts.

Earlier this year, Trumpf announced its earnings in the 2014/15 fiscal year, which ended on June 30 2015.
