Rome, Italy: Exports of Italian machine tools were down by 4.3 percent for the first three months of 2016 according to data from ISTAT-National Institute for Statistics—processed by UCIMU.

Berlin, Germany: The German machine tool industry is in good shape, according to the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW) who reported that order bookings rose by 16 percent in Q2 2016 compared to Q2 2015.

The US Manufacturing Technology Orders report for July 2016 shows that orders dropped 24.8 percent for the month compared to June, according to data from AMT – The Association For Manufacturing Technology. Year over year, monthly orders were down 23.0 percent compared to July 2015.
