The new FARO CAM2 Measure 10.5 is the latest software for the FaroArm, FARO Laser ScanArm and FARO Laser Tracker.

Developed by FARO Technologies, the Scanner Freestyle 3D, complemented with a Microsoft Surface Tablet, scans objects to a distance of three metres and captures up to 88k points per second with an accuracy of 1.5 mm. Weighing less than a kilogramme, the portable handheld scanner not only enables the user to manoeuvre the device to scan hard-to-reach places such as car interiors, but it also allows real-time visualisation of an object by the user through view point cloud data as it is captured. Its memory-scan technology lets users pause and then resume scanning and data collection at any time without requiring artificial targets.

It makes perfect sense to use movable metrological equipment to measure movable objects. By Anthony Lur, product marketing specialist, Faro Technologies

Faro Technologies has released the latest version of their laser scanning software, the Faro Scene 5.3, and the scan data hosting-service, Scene WebShare Cloud 1.5.
